How to use Google Drive to Make Teacher and Student Portfolios

Portfolios are a really great assessment tool for teachers, a progress tracker for students, and a great way for parents to see how their students are doing throughout the year.

They also are great for teachers who are building their own professional portfolios and are collecting ideas and materials for their instructional practice.

They're also time consuming, require lots of paperwork management, and can be a real pain! Here's how you can painlessly make instant student portfolios using Google Drive and a tablet/smartphone.

Why use Google Drive for making student portfolios?

  1. NEVER LOSE  an artifact again
  2. You can add videos, pictures of students working, pictures of projects, and documents galore!
  3. Share portfolios with co-teachers, administrators, and parents instantly.
  4. Be able to update your portfolios anywhere!

Here's what you need:
  • A smartphone or tablet with the Google  Drive app installed.
  • It's bit more friendly to do this with an Android device, but an iPad or iPod will work with the same amount of ease.
