Create a Quiz Inside a Video for your Flipped Classroom

There's tons of resources out there to create quizzes embedded inside of a video!

These take a little bit of time and practice before you can become really comfortable with designing and creating them, but there are a few websites that will make it really easy for you!

1. EduCanon

Educanon is a great site for making videos with embedded questions. There's many options in the free teacher account that make it worth it to have one! You can also copy, share, and embed your Educanon videos into other websites like I did below! If you want to track and share data from your videos, you need to create an EduCanon site for your students, but if you just want a video with questions and want to track your data a different way, then it's a good place to start!

It's very user friendly for students - check out the one I made here!

2. HapYak

HapYak is not as popular as the others, but one that I REALLY enjoy using. It's very user friendly for teachers, simple to operate as a program, and you can knock out a video quiz in a few seconds. They ALSO give you the chance to embed your videos into your own web pages. Check out the Hapyak video I made below.

Can you tell that Bill Nye is my hero?

Check out some of the other resources out there, and share your ideas in the comments below. If you're looking for data collection - Google Forms is the easiest and free way to go, but they don't give you the chance to add your own questions inside of a video. These are great resources for you to try, enhance your flipped classroom, and impress your colleagues and administrators with your technical prowess!

Have fun!
